Entitled "On Display", my Master's Thesis (2009) at the Rhode Island School of Design consisted of a series of pieces that were designed and constructed around pre-existing objects. I listened to my physical surroundings to motivate, inform and develop my work, re-appropriating materials to give them new lives. This was generally a sculptural approach to making, but relied upon design-oriented methodologies of problem solving and analysis.
